Ok - as romance novels go, not a bad read. The bit about her on the ship is very good. However, when our herione is finally able to land on the British Isles (Ireland), she writes that the 3 days they spent there were "heavenly" and the best of her life & both characters felt it "cemented" their marriage & romance.....so why was explained in an abbreviated way? No details or adorable moments whatsoever. I would have liked to read how these two characters truly felt that they had choose the right person, especially since they used this "Irish Interlude" as an example later in the novel to how they further bonded. Past that point, the author seemed to try to tie up her political intrigue plot lines and didn't delve that much into the relationship. Which would have made a better emotional impact if the reader would have the opportunity to relish the lovely Irish escape that was quickly glossed over.I'm being a bit harsh with the author with 3 stars, but it's because I know she can do better. Ms. Foley is talented in that she can create a wonderful & suspensful story, full of intrigue and very "hot" interludes. She could have done so much better with these characters & plot.
That said, I still enjoyed it, but because she's truly a good writer - she could have done better.

His Wicked Kiss A Novel Knight Miscellany Gaelen Foley 9780345480101 Books Reviews
In the beginning, the conversation and interaction between Erin & Jack was unexpected and interesting. Their actions surprised and delighted me. Very enjoyable first 284 pages. less so after that when the couple fought and other problems arose. Erin withheld sex because he wouldn't answer a question. She was more concerned with what other people thought than his needs. This didn't sit well for me since they were still in their honeymoon phase. He had his faults as well. I would have preferred different conflicts and faults for them at the end.
Sexual content not evaluated. I read this book before I began counting sex scenes and describing the language. As I recall, it was probably moderate or strong. Setting 1818 South America, London and the high seas. Copyright 2006. Genre regency romance.
To date there are seven books in the Knight family series, of which I have read six, as follows. My review for His Wicked Kiss was posted to on 2/6/07. All the rest are posted on 5/26/08.
The Duke (4.5 stars)
Lord of Fire (2 stars)
Lord of Ice (3.5 stars)
Lady of Desire (4.5 stars)
Devil Takes a Bride (2 stars)
His Wicked Kiss (3 stars)
This is the last book of Gaelen Foley's Knight series and in this story our hero is Mr Jack Knight the second knight brother and the heroine is Miss Eden Faraday.
I really liked the way Gaelen made both of them vivid and likeable characters. Miss Faraday is a clever and unconventional lady who spent most of her life in the jungles of South America. Jack is a powerful and tortured hero who spent most of his life trying to prove to his family that he is as good as his "true noble" brothers.
As usual the sheer sexiness and emotional impact are present and the sex scenes are really hot.
I agree with the other readers that the last part of the book is frustrating because both Jack and Eden relationship becomes boring and Eden seems to be only concerned with her clothes, her hair and social affaires. She is not even able to have an adult conversation with Jack.
There are also some mistakes regarding dates and facts presented in the other stories. It seems that different people have written these books for instance, when Eden is presented to the knight family there is only 1 girl child "the only girl produced by the clan". Did Mrs Foeley forget that Bel gave birth to a child named Kate in the previous book "One night of sin"? I found it very annoying and there are mistakes regarding dates in most of the Knight books. Sounds like noone made a review before publishing them.
Eden is a lonely bluestocking raised in the jungles of South America desperate to experience London life. Jack is a ship magnate from upper crust London society making his name and wealth on the seas. Jack never thought he would find a lady of his own, especially one sitting in a tree in the jungle, but instant attraction occurs when they meet and life is never the same from that point on for either of them. While conquering London and the sea they learn to overcome the baggage of their past. Gaelen Foley did a really good job showing two characters seeing the same events through different lenses and the difficulties of letting go of the past to redefine their future.
This book grabbed me from the very first chapter, I love the characters and the storyline is great. I could not put this book down. There is something about a story with a bad boy who is so dynamic that he makes your heart melt. If you enjoy a book that takes you into the story..buy this book you will not be disappointed.
Wow...am I going to miss the Knight men! This last in the Knight Miscellany series, featuring Jack Knight, was a great ending to books centered around the Knight family. I think Jack may have been my favorite Knight brother (although I love them all!). He was all kinds of hot, sexy male with that tortured soul that they all suffer from their pasts. I also loved Eden Farraday....how can you not love a girl who shoots snakes, climbs trees and swings from vines? There was great chemistry and lots of passion along with plenty of action and adventure. I am sad to see the end of this wonderful series of books, but so glad that I found these well written and thoroughly engaging novels.
I will be reading more from Gaelen Foley in the future!
