This is a story of two young people who make their way out of Chicago and run to a very rural area of Colorado when they feel the United States is about to suffer an economic collapse and maybe change forever. The change both for them and in their country is a very large one indeed.
This early story was published under the pen name of Jack Forester. I have gone through this story and found many of the errors and corrected them (no I’m sure I did not find them all!). I have re-written sections and added additional material as I have gone through this early work of mine.
As always in my stories there is no foul language or explicit sex though there is some violence.
My stories are only meant to provide an afternoon or evening of reading enjoyment. If when reading any story you find that an occasional grammatical error spoils your whole experience then you may wish forgo reading this story as I am sure some errors can be found within it despite my best efforts.

This is written in the style of a children's book, and is unjustifiably optimistic. The main protagonist has a huge support group and resource reserve to fall back on, and while some serious emotional conflicts have to be dealt with, they are never quite so serious as those which will be manifest and repetitive if the "collapse" portrayed ever actually happens. Some useful tactical techniques are employed, but I doubt they will be as easily performed in the real world by untrained troops. Not bad, but not high on my list of really worthwhile.Product details

Honestly, I see Jack Forester as the author I know it is going to be a nice story that I will enjoy. ( Nice in the post apocalyptic way D)
As always, a great story. Love this author!
I like that it is a clean and moral story. The characters are likable and easy to relate to but the story was maybe a touch simple and would have benefited from more development.
I find this to be easy reading of a serious subject. Too bad understanding the signs of collapse aren't so easy. Nice tale. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Jack Forester has another winner. The U.S. economy collapses as does that of many other countries. This is the survival story of one family and few other neighbors. An excellent addition to anyone's library.
GREAT BOOK.....It fits with the normal society being dragged kicking and screaming into the new world order
of kill or be killed.....survive by out-thinking an opponent......lot's of great action!!!
A quick read, it isn't very long. Well thought out. How a small community struggle and work together for the good of the whole community. Always a bunch of bad guys to try and ruin every thing. How the community pulled together for their protection as well.
