I wish to emphasize that this review is for the audiobook only. The audiobook that I listened to was narrated by Joseph Campanella. I recall Mister Campanella as a great actor and I was excited to listen to the audiobook. However it was a disappointment. It was less than three hours long. I checked the actual hard copies for sale and they are listed at well over four hundred pages. This audiobook must be very abridged.

The story is about a limited military engagement between the United States and China. The story, as told on the audiobook, is just average. I have a feeling he full length novel is a much better story. I had previously read "Flight Of The Old Dog" and liked it.

I was traveling and thought I could listen to the audiobook while commuting. This audiobook "read" like a novella. There was little or no character developement. My supposition is that the actual novel is much more in depth. The audiobook moved rapidly along. My suspicion is that the audiobook did not do justice to the original novel or the author.

In summary this audiobook was just an average listening experience. I plan on looking for a hard copy of the novel in the future. In retrospect I think I would have skipped this particular audiobook if I had known what I was getting. Thank You.

Another great techno thriller by Brown.
This book was one missing from those by Dale Brown in the Dreamland series. Other books had mentions of things that happened in books before I started reading the series. This is one of two books I had to find.
Again Mr. Dale Brown tells a fast paced and entertaining story based on facts and possible systems and weapon delivery.
